Terai Ignored Absolutely

Today it is the 19th day long movement in the terai .Every thing is closed .nothing is running here since last 19 days . Neither transport nor any shop nor school college , nothing at all. It is a fact that the present government is made of eight parties alliance. It has been easy on the part of the govt to make excuses to escape the the terai issue . Each party looks busy in the act of recremination instead of taking the issue seriously and seeking for the way out.They are trying to make the situation appear more and more enigmatic which is a very explicit evidence of their act of ignoring to solve the prblem and these also prove the Madheshi leaders claim of their being second rate citizen.
Primeminister as the head of state and executive chief had to be empathetic towrad the people of terai and looking at the hardships terai people have been facing .By now it seems that he has not felt yet how badly the people in this area have been affected .
There seem no harmony in all leaders of political parties specially top leaders say something and do something else .In practice it is seen that they send their representatives to deal differently in the terai .Only today Matrika Yadav of NCP( Maoist) speaking at a meeting in Janki Mandir,Janakpur, said that the peace talking comittee is nothing but fraud and political trick.The govt is doing something and showing something else .Similarly Yog Narayan Yadav an M.P. of Nepal communist Party (UML) speaking to Janakpur FM said that this is our movement we must not stop it till we get to the destination .The result is their district and zonal leaders play the role of the agitators with flags of their parties in their hands . By now it appears that the top leaders are against the issue though they are frightend if the existence favour madheshi people in on going movement one party may lag behind the other inthe coming election .
Though the leaders of Madheshi Jan Adhikaar Forum has been announced for the dialogue ,the president of the concerned party has welcomed the invitation asked for the resignation of the home minister first only then the dialogue can be possible Home minister Mr Sitaula should have resigned as his moral duty as so many peole have been killed through out the country and also for the welfare of the whole nation but the process is so slow that every sensitive citizen of the nation may have the the sense of doubt about the concipiracy the govt is trying to impose upon terai .
It is a fact that the demand put forward the govt is not only in the favour of terai people but for all those who have been deprived of their access in the parliament.
Finally,what is felt to be insisted that the pace of the dialogue process should be made fast, peace should be re-set and people who are making crevice among we Nepalese brother-hood through spreading numerous rumours and scandals may not get more opportunity to dance on the music of Pahade and Mdheshi rights .Honest dealing is required on the parts of the both parties in the dialogue so that all neplese can re-proceed their journey on the path of development in making Neo-Nepal.

Madhesh means terai and we all are fighinting for our terai. I believe there is a very easy solution to get our demands addressed. Madhesh is between India and Nepal. The point is — without crossing the boundary of Madhesh — no one will be able to trade anything from India which is a need for Nepal. Madhesh can seal Nepal in this way. If Nepal is sealed, certainly people of Pahad do not produce enough to eat and there wont be anyone to collect their “Khali Sisi and Purano Kagaz”. Let the time show them what Madhesh means, and their dependence on Madhesh.
I hereby propose the JTMM or any order Madheshi advocates to declare Madhesh as “The Republic of Madhesh” and we need to start the formation of our own government. Madhesh is no longer a part of Nepal. We are an independent nation.
The Government of Madhesh can start recruiting army and create the respective ministries to operate the country. Passport and visa system must come in effect ASAP so that no Pahade infiltrator can come in again.

Your links are great. Its ok that you guys post your views and opinions but always remember one rule that applies to all nepalese:
DO NOT TRY TO ENHANCE THE PROBLEM SO HARD THAT YOU GET BURIED IN YOUR OWN HOLES THAT YOU DIG.
Anyone who lives in this world should always remember what their entity is.
Do you all madhesi guys really feel like MADHESI JINDABAD’s comments? I do not agree at all. What’s the point with crown bringing the crown from kathmandu to janakpur? I don’t see any. Does he want that janakpur be a separate state with a king….? How ridiculous…!!!
I am from biratnagar and know that it was ruled by King Birat a long time ago…but it doesn’t mean that i start asking for a separate biratnagar state ruled by new King …..how the hell does that make a point….?
I think Madhesi Jindabad is a foolish guy who is either a undercover terrorist who is trying to provoke madhesi people or he is a well-educated psychopathic individual who doesn’t have a real sense of education in him…no matter how much his education qualifications are…

For comments from ARMENDRA, dear sir, you forgot a prime point to say…the primeminister of Nepal is from Terai himself…just forget the issues of pahades and madhesis for a while…and try to think basic:
“Do you love the place you were born….? Answer is yes..of course”
“Do you love your country you were born….? Yes, of course”
“Do you try to hate people on ethnicity from your birthplace…?” No….should be your answer…dear brother.
Okay i understand that many madhesis have been deprieved in society…but do you all madhesis agree that it was only because of pahades that caused you to be deprieved…..? No, of course. Because there are many other issues that have caused our generations to be poor….probably our culture…probably thoughts of our parents and family…probably poverty among our society…or less education…or probably we are lazy…..etc …
Always remember , my friends, people who are capable can fit anywhere…people who are labourious can get good jobs and earn money…its not either dependent on ethnicity or religion or caste that counts…its skills and ability….

And for Mr. Shrivastava, i have already told that…sorry sir…..madhesh doesn’t lie between India and Nepal….it is in both countries……madhesh in Nepal where nepalese live…and madhesh in India where indians live….so try to differentiate between India and Nepal. If you don’t accept your real identity, you are of no where maan….so first try to get insight on your real identity and post thoughts according to that.

Even if you madhesi guys and gals think for a while about the time you were born… did you guys see all madhesis only in madhesh….i hope no is the answer…why? Because as a matter of fact, mahesis of pahade origin have been living in madhesh since a long time…its not correct that only genuine madhesi people have been living here for ages…..probably their parents were the first ones to enter madhesh but that doesn’t mean that you are going to send the present generation of madhesis of pahade origin back to gorkha now…….how fools we are…i don’t understand how these kinds of poor and low quality thought have entered our society….
Remember that there are many more madhesis living in other pahade dominated areas too…and living in harmony with pahades….

And about biratnagar, have we madhesi people seen the population ratios of pahade origin people…..its much more than you can imagine…..so you can’t get away that easily by just ousting them to other cities…that is too much to ask for guys…even as a human….
And last and for all, its very poor thought of many of us to bring and revive history back by asking for a separate madhesh, separate janakpur and separate biratnagar or gorkha….try to post thoughts on how we can solve the present problem in unison…and peacefully…how do we enact strong laws regarding discrimination and violence….that would be better for the future of our country….

I am with you and i think we all genuine madhesi are with you.

My answer for crazybrtguy is: either you must be dalal of Prachanda Bahun or Girija Bahun(Khasiya Bramhin- the Kashmiri origin deserted in 13-14’the century by afgani muslims) or may Makune Bahun or may me others as well. You are talking about Biratnagar where you people have ruling till date forcing the madhesi to become you slave. So what about kathmandu and other hilly cities where madhesi are treated as chana chatpate, bhaiya, dhoti and bla .. bla… In terai you people were jamindar and landlords which you people used to get by either offering your daugher and sister as gift to Ranas and Shah. And you are talking about the peace process in terai.

Either the demands of JTMM and MJF has to fulfilled or be ready to seperate terai from Nepal as a free country.

I am a true Madheshi, and I am a Nepali. But I am a Nepali First. This person wants to terrorize our Nepal, and make it like Palestine. We people at Madhesh equally Love Mechi as much as we love Mahakali. Because it is ours. Now look at this crooked brain, he says he wants his own nation, Madhesh. Go to Texas ranch if not in India. Leave us alone at Madhesh.

I am not surprised, the biggest day of sorrow in his parent’s life is the day he was born. He in itself is a curse to a proud parents. Be a Human, Mr. Be a good person. Speak of good moral, do not be jealous of our life, we are happy and we know how to deal with terrorizing people, and theres no difference in Maoist and in you. people like you are responsible in spreading ethnic violence and try to gain sympathy from Sulekha users. What surprised me most is these people who are enchanting the slogans of Madhesi jindabad are the ones who should re-think, they are educated individuals, professionals and yet get fooled by politicians or Thugs who are terrorizing their own community.

This Arendra could be Parmendra of which lots get swayed away. See, he was born in India or Indian father and Nepali mother. fine, no problem, but unlike we true madesi people living in Nepal, he calls himself an Indian and has Indian passport and has married a white girl, well no problem, but is always behind Nepali matters, he is not a shit when it comes to India, if he goes to Bihar, probably will get his ass-kicked, but our Nepali brothers don’t get all this. All they do is to get influenced like babies and follow his command from NYC. Why don’t you listen to professors Jha, Doctor Rajbanshi, Effective leaders, Engineers, and many who is in Nepal, our parents who have given everything to us.
Anyone posting such hateful comments here is considered no different than those who kill others, and they kill our people and this continues. Is this what you want? You must be the ones watching too much Hindi movies, and wanting to be Rajnikant, dont you? See this kid Ashutosh Srivastav. Today 27 July 2008 while coming back form vegetable market in Narayghat near Bharatpur Hight, protester against Vice President chased us saying you black Deshi, Dhoti, Desh-Kale desh(Country) chhode. What was crime of the madheshi bicycle rider in chaubishkothi , who was brutally bitten and dragged by protesters? Is his only the crime that he is black, madheshi, he speaks maithali, bhijpuri, and other madheshi languages? I was surprised, what type of Federalism Republican Nepal we have dreamed? Today we are feeling there is still a way to stay united as a single Nepal with decentralization not federalism. Most of the political parties who all have gained the attitude of National party previously are behaving as regional parties as they really want separation of country, they all need to stay out of politics. Why they are using young especially students as their worker. It is clear they want salves like monarchy. They don’t want to see Madhesi and pahadi to be united. If we are going more lately, today’s protests will results separation movement from Madheshi.

If you are PAHADI and u belongs to Biratnagar then you come to Kathmandu then you see wat they will tell you MADHESHI not PAHADI. We all are Nepali and we also love our Nepali Land but PAHADI said Nepal is belongs to that person who is having PAHADI face….!!! can u justfy it????????????

First of namaste to all madheshi if we really want our status and existance in nepal then we need our own autonomous state,so that we can preserve our culture and launguage,another thing is job even u r graduated (technical,education,proffesional),it is hard to get job either private or public, u will be discarded only reason is you r madhesi,their is alot of problem in every field in the country.unles and until we have our own state we will be everytime lossing more than some.

Jaya Nepal.
I want to say jaya nepal rather than jaya Pahad since i was pahades origin in ur(Madesi) mean words. What i what to say 2 u all is ” We are nepali first, we should proud of our nepali identity. cast, races, religion that all things are secondary. Descrimination was in the past, we should agree that but with passing generation that all wil be gone out.
We are rich in natural resources, by the scientific utilizaton and best management we can jump to the golden future but unity is necessary for that.
I read the comment of friends. someone had written that without madesh pahad would be handicap. I don’t agree to that word but i agree with witout tarai country wil be like a man without leg. What is it mean is that Tarai and madhesh are different things. I wnat to request to the madeshi friends to visit all over the tarai region. They wil get the fact how much their influence in overall tarai. 17% area is covered by tarai but only 7-8% of area is covered by madesh of the country.
Kanchanpur, kailai, Banke, Bardiya, Dang Chitawan. Jhapa : There is too less people(Madhesi) and Sunsari and morang there is below than 50% area is convered by madhesi. In Nawalpari, Rupandehi is the also at least 40% area is covered by other people( Tharu and Hill origin people). In remaining area of tarai there is no influence of madhe above the Mahendra Highway. After all this reasons how they r dare to say we can block the total county.
Dear friends(Madesi). This all are fruitless thing. Chasing Hill origin people from tarai and getting the separate identity for madesh is impossible things.
Withing 30 year, india is planning to collect the water in tarai for irrigation. At that time what wil u do.
So let’s say we all are nepali , all country is our garden and we r the flowers of that garden.

These Pahades have provided us with a lot of funny nick names.But we madhesis r so tolerant & do nothing.These Pahades ill mentality cannot be changed.They ve always treated us as 2nd class citizens though our history of being in Terai region is far back than these Pahades existence in Nepal.These Pahades(topis,bahadurs,gatekeepers,toilet cleaners) r either d descendents of Indians or Tibetans.Actually,these r d newcomers in Nepal.Its high time we rise & kick these m.f.bahadur Pahades out of Terai.

The new book called ‘Madheshi Uprising: The resurgence of ethnicity’ by Mr Kalyan B. Mathema (2011) is a powerful document on the history of Mithila. A must for every Madheshi historian and political analyst. It links Mithila history with central Madhesh rebellion. I recommend it.
